| Howdy was the #2 Derby dog in the country 2001. He had the highest point trial average. He finished his Derby career with 56 points. He won a minor stake double header to QAA before his second birthday. During this time he was under the training of Mike Lardy. He finished his first open at 2 1/2 years. In 2003 Howdy jammed or placed in seven of the first nine opens. Howdy won an open and an amateur fall of 2004. Howdy's DOB is 7/21/99. Currently he is 3.5 points from earning his FC, AFC and one point from qualifying for '05 National Amateur. He is currently running field trials on the East Coast. |

| Howdy is an exceptional marker, biddable, easy to train, extremely talented and good looking. He is calm on the line, personable and is easy to have around the house. Not only does Howdy possess these traits but he consistantly throws his talent, good looks, working attitude, personality and marking ability to his offspring. Howdy has sired numerous litters, with many repeat breedings. Breeders and buyers have been pleased with what he is producing. A number of Howdy's puppies are running derby and some have QAA and are running Open. Recently two Howdy daughters won a 2nd in Open and a 2nd in Amatuer. Many are successfully running hunt tests with senior and master titles. |

| Howdy is a full sibling to FC The Man in Black "Cash". Cash is a very talented, good looking dog as well. He won his Open 1st on his 3rd b-day in '02 and was the youngest retriever to run the '02 NFC in St. Louis under the training of Chris Ledford. . |

| Howdy's Sire is the infamous 2XNAFC-2XCNAFC-FC Ebonstars Lean Mac. Lean Mac is the only dog in history to win 4 nationals. He was a National Finalist 11 times, 9 of these were in consecutive years. He qualified for 24 Nationals (US & Canada) and he had 165.5 All-Age points. Lean Mac has produced numerous NFC, NAFC, FC and AFC offspring with several mulitples within a litter. Lean Mac is the direct sire to 7 of the retrievers who competed in the 2004 World Retriever Championship. | Howdy is a well muscled, athletic male who weighs approximately 80 lbs. He is black and carries a chocolate factor. Howdy is proportionate. He is deep chested, has a straight top line, short coupled, well muscled hind quarters, as well as good angulation. He also has a nice blocky lab head. |

| Howdy's health clearances are complete. Hips have been certified with OFA for 2 complete generations back in his pedigree.
